Join us for a fabulous walk around some beautiful parts of the Bovey Valley.
We will be meeting at Station Road Car Park, Bovey Tracey at 10.30 am . The route will take us through Millmarsh Park and then along the side of the river Bovey . This section is fairly level with a short section on the old railway line .
After about 45 mins we will join a lane (very little traffic) which will take us down to the other side of the river at Pullabrook carpark . Now the going gets a little harder but it is on a made track , after crossing the Becka brook we will continue to Clam Bridge with some great views of the river , the section of the walk just before Clam Bridge is a little rugged as a lot a stones are washed up here so walking boots are a must . After crossing the bridge we turn south on the return leg heading towards Lustleigh , we will pass through the village orchard where cider apples are gathered each year and the May day celebrations take place . We have now reached the centre of the the village and our watering hole . From leaving the carpark to The Cleave should take around two and a half hours , and the last section back to Bovey is an easy walk along the old railway and should take around one hour .
We have a table booked at the Cleave.
