Join us for a fabulous ten mile walk around some beautiful parts of West Dartmoor.
We will meet at 10.00am at Postbridge car park – please remember £3 for car-parking!
We will take the Footpath Northwest, crossing Braddon Lake stream, to wall at Briad Down. Following on to the corner at Hollowcombe Bottom, then heading to Lower White Tor, following the ridge to Higher White Tor then to Longaford Tor. Descending to the Northern end of Wistmans Wood. At the Southern end, we will climb back up to Littaford Tor and head for the stile in the wall on the Eastern side of the Littaford/Longaford ridge. We will then be picking up the path heading to Powder Mills. Following the path through Powder Mills. Crossing the road, up to Bellever Tor, turn backing back, we will head along the ridge to the Car passing by the Stone Row and Kraps Ring Settlement.
We’ll be walking approximately 10 miles, which will probably take us 5 hours, allowing for lunch, breaks and socially distanced chatting! The route is mainly on beaten tracks, but occasionally ‘off piste’, so please wear proper walking boots.
We will be on Dartmoor, in October, and the changeable weather that it brings, so please bring a waterproof coat and trousers.
Please do wear suitable attire for walking on Dartmoor, ie walking boots and suitable clothing as the weather is very changeable, so please be prepared for possible rain or hot weather. Please also bring a packed lunch and plenty of water.
We will be following the government guidelines in terms of social distancing.
This is a ticket only event.
Refund/Cancellation Policy – Due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, we have the right to cancel the event and will refund in full with a minimum of 24 hours notice.
