Join us for a fabulous seven and a half mile walk around some beautiful parts of West Dartmoor.
We will be meeting at the Princetown Car Park.
“A lovely walk of about 7.5 miles with some nice tracks, rocky bits (need proper moor footwear) and amazing scenery.
We see old shepherds huts, ancient villages/settlements, stone row, a leat and Crazywell Pool (water stagnant so I afraid it won’t be worth swimming in it!), exploring a little “off piste” too!
Please see the route map here.
The walk is roughly 7.5 miles and will take between 4 and 5 hours depending on the group. Water proofs and waterproof walking boots are a must, anyone without will not be allowed to come. Gaiters would be good idea as it can be quite boggy. Packed lunch and water required.
Please do wear suitable attire for walking on Dartmoor, ie walking boots and suitable clothing as the weather is very changeable, so please be prepared for possible rain or hot weather. Please also bring a packed lunch and plenty of water.
We will be following the government guidelines in terms of social distancing.
